During this Family safari, you shall travel to sweet waters chimpanzee sanctuary for chimpanzee
trekking and lake Naivasha, Samburu and Maasai Mara for a wildlife adventure. Chimpanzee
trekking is only possible in Ol pejeta during a safari to Kenya. With our exceptional tour guides
and comfortable 4×4 safari cars, expect the best adventurous journey.

Day 1:
Depart to Samburu national reserve.

This wonderful Family trip is expected to start and end in Nairobi. Our company’s ultimate goal
is to ensure that our clients have an exceptional journey and therefore, several pickup points
can be considered. Early in the morning after breakfast, our company representative shall come
and pick you up from your pick up point and you shall be transferred to Samburu national
reserve. The reserve is approximately 350km from Nairobi. Along the route, you will have a
stopover at the equator. Photo taking is major activity around this area. There are several
experiments which can be carried out at the equator. The water experiment to differentiate
between the North and southern hemisphere is common. Afterwards, you shall continue to
Samburu national reserve. Upon arrival, you will check in your lodge, have lunch and later,
travel to the park via Ngare Mara or Buffalo springs park gate for an awesome afternoon game
drive. Samburu national reserve attracts a lot of wildlife as a result of the Ewaso Ng’iro River
which flows through the reserve. Some of the wildlife species to expect include Oryx, zebra,
reticulated giraffe, olive baboons, warthogs, gazelles, impala, waterbucks, lion, cheetah,
leopard, Elephants, Cape buffalo, hippopotamus and many more. In the evening, you shall
retreat to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2:
full day game drive at Samburu national reserve

With the Ewaso Ng’iro River, acacia, thorn trees, riverine forest and grassland vegetation; the
Samburu national reserve is one of the best ecosystem to explore the different inhabits that

reside within the reserve. During this day, you shall have a full day game drive where you shall
encounter several species of wildlife species and varying wildlife behaviors. The game drive
starts early in the morning before breakfast. You shall drive to the park for the early morning
game drive to witness several animal behaviors which are common in the morning. You shall be
in position to spot several active nocturnal before they retreat back to their hidings.
Afterwards, you will rest a bit, have breakfast and later, continue on with the game drive until
the rest of the day. In the evening, you shall retire back to your accommodation where you
shall have several refreshments.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 3:
Depart to Ol pejeta Conservancy.

After breakfast, you shall leave Samburu national reserve for Ol pejeta via the Nanyuki. The
sweet waters chimpanzee sanctuary which is part of the Ol pejeta hosts endangered
Chimpanzees. During the visit to Ol pejeta; you shall be in position to trek the mighty
chimpanzees. Upon arrival in Ol pejeta, you shall check in your lodge to freshen up, have lunch
and later, you will drive to the sanctuary. You shall be awe-inspired with the chimpanzees. After
chimpanzee trekking, you shall drive to other section of conservancy to spot some of the
wildlife within the area. Some of the wildlife species to look out for include: African wild dogs,
hartebeest, serval, zebra, gazelle, hyena, lions, Elephants, leopards, giraffes, vervet monkeys,
baboons, hippos and many more. In the evening, you shall return to the lodge.

Day 4:
Depart to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you shall depart Ol pejeta for Lake Naivasha national park. During the drive,
you will make a stopover at the beautiful and refreshing Thompson falls. Lake Naivasha which is
part of Lake Naivasha national park is located in the Great Rift Valley. The lake is one of the
freshest lakes in Kenya. Upon arrival, you will drive to the lodge, have lunch and later, drive to
the park for a boat cruise. This is purely a refreshing day. The boat cruise is a great way to have
a relaxing moment in Kenya.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 5:
Depart to Maasai Mara

Early morning after breakfast, you will depart Lake Naivasha national park for Maasai Mara.
Maasai Mara is great for a wildlife adventure. The park is situated at the Kenya- Tanzania
border in the Mara region. The reserve is the most visited national parks in Kenya. In Maasai
Mara, you will check in your lodge, take lunch and later go for an afternoon game drive. The

game drive offers the perfect opportunity to explore different inhabitants within the park. In
the evening, you shall retreat to the lodge.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 6:
Family expedition through the Maasai Mara.

Get ready to witness the big 5- lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Leopards, and Buffaloes. Maasai Mara
is the best destination to visit in Kenya if you want to exclusively explore and spot different
wildlife species and behaviors. Our tour guide shall come to your lodge and drive to the park for
an early morning game drive where you shall spot different nocturnal and predator hunting
down their prey. There are plenty of wildlife behaviors to expect- remember, you shall be
visiting a wild universe. After the morning game drive, you shall return to the lodge for
refreshment and breakfast before returning back to the park for the rest of the game drive. To
get the best out of this adventure, it is always advisable to have some goals in mind- what you
would like to see during the day. There are peculiar spots within the park which are ideal for
game viewing. Areas near the Mara and Tarek River offer good wildlife viewing opportunities.
Apart from the big 5, Maasai Mara hosts other wildlife species such as hyenas, cheetahs,
Jackals, crocodiles, hippopotamus, and others. Most Family travel during the July- October
because of the great migration. If you are fortunate enough and you travel during that period,
you are likely to spot millions of wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of Thomson gazelles,
zebras and Topis crossing from Serengeti to Maasai Mara. In the evening, you shall return to
the lodge.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 7:
Maasai Mara - Nairobi

Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall drive to Nairobi to mark the end of the Family
tour.
