Nairobi national park is the one of the worlds’ nearest park to the city center. The park is the
oldest national park in Kenya. During this Kenya family safari, you are going to learn a lot as
regards to Kenya’s wildlife, nature, and the people. This holiday is great for tourists who want

Day 1:
Nairobi national park
Nairobi national park is located approximately 7 km away from the Nairobi’s business district.
The park is ideal for any tourist with limited time within Kenya with an urge to spot some of the
wildlife species within the country. This safari is expected to start and end in Nairobi, the capital
city of Kenya. Early in the morning, our tour guide shall come and pick you up from our agreed
pickup point within Nairobi- this could be a hotel or a residential home. Later, you will drive
7km south of the capital to the park. At the park entrance, you shall fulfill all the park
obligations and later, you will start with your game drive. The park is gifted with several wildlife
species and these include hyena, cheetah, leopard, zebra, baboon, giraffe, buffalo, over 100
species of mammals and many more. Ecologically, the park is divided into 3 sections- the dry
forest, the ravine system, and the savannah grassland. The game drive starts in the dry forest
to search for leopards and black rhinos. After, you shall drive to savannah grassland in search of
the lions, gazelles and buffaloes. Lastly, you will drive to the ravine system to locate the
crocodiles and hippopotamus. The game drive will stop around midday and afterward, you will
travel back to Nairobi until your drop off point.

Day 2:
Depart to Amboseli national park
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall meet and greet our tour guide who shall transfer
you to Amboseli national park. The park is situated 240km away from Nairobi and after
travelling for 6 hours, you shall arrive at the Kenya-Tanzania border where the park is located.
At Amboseli, you will check in your lodge, take a break and later go for lunch. Afterwards, you
shall drive to the Amboseli national park for an afternoon game drive until sunset. Dinner and

Day 3:
Full day game drive at Amboseli national park.
Full day game drives are great for understanding and witnessing several wildlife species that
reside in a particular park. Parks are always vast in size and it takes time to cover all the
different sections. During this full day game drive, you shall explore all the different park
locations where it is possible to spot the wildlife. Early in the morning, before breakfast, you
shall drive to the park entrance, fulfill the necessary entry requirements and later, start off the
morning game drive through the wilderness of Amboseli national park. The park’s ecosystem
supports a variety of wildlife species and these include Free-ranging Elephants, cape buffaloes,
cheetahs, lions, blue wildebeest, spotted hyenas, giraffes, zebras and many more. There is an
observational hill in Amboseli national park which offers the perfect view to spot most the
park’s inhabitants. The park is covered by swamps, Lake Amboseli and other vegetation
however due to the long dry periods, some of the water bodies dry up and this make the wild
life to roam around in search of food and water. Mount Kilimanjaro forms the perfect backdrop
from Amboseli national park and watching the sunset from the park to the distant Mount
Kilimanjaro is breathtaking. After morning game drive, you shall drive back to the lodge, have
breakfast and later return to the park until sunset. Dinner and overnight at your chosen

Day 4:
Depart to Lake Naivasha
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is one of
the freshest Lakes in the Great Rift Valley. The lake offers a relaxing boat cruise. During the boat
cruise, you will stand an opportunity to spot both terrestrial and aquatic creatures such as the
hippos. After the boat cruise, you shall check in your lodge.

Day 5:
Depart to Maasai Mara
An early morning game drive is possible before driving to Maasai Mara. This morning game
drive is meant to look out for some of the species that you missed out during the previous
game drive sessions. After the morning game drive, you shall pack your bags and head to
Maasai Mara. Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most visited destination. Over half million tourist visit the
park during the year. Upon arrival in Maasai Mara, you shall check in your lodge, have the
necessary rest or refreshment and later, drive to the park for an afternoon game drive. In the
evening, you shall return to your accommodation.

Day 6:
Full day game drive at Maasai Mara
Maasai Mara never disappoints in terms of wildlife. The reserve hosts hundreds of thousands of
wildlife animals. It is only in Maasai Mara around Kenya where it is possible to spot the big 5
animals- leopard, lions, buffalo, Rhino and Elephants. Other wildlife species that inhabit within
the park include: warthogs, crocodiles, Oribi, hippopotamus hartebeest, hyenas, antelopes,
Maasai giraffes, East African cheetah, and so many others. This day is considered as the
highlight of this safari. Get ready for adventure. Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall
pack up your gadgets and drive to Maasai Mara. After being allowed into the park, you shall
start your early morning game drive. The morning game drive is normally meant to witness
nocturnal and their different behaviors. Later you will return to the lodge, have some breakfast
and later, drive back to the park for the rest of the game drive. The great wildebeest migration
is one of the reasons why Maasai Mara is flocked by many tourists. If you coming around July –
October, it is highly possible to spot millions of wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of
Thomson gazelles and zebra migrating to Maasai Mara. After this educative and awe-inspiring
day, you shall return to the lodge.

Day 7:
Maasai Mara – Nairobi
This is the last day of this safari. An extension to include other tourism destinations within
Kenya and Tanzania are possible. During this day, you shall wake up, take breakfast and later,
drive to Nairobi to end the Family Holiday.
