Kenya & Tanzania Safari

Amazing alarm calls.

Ever imagined waking up to the calls of croaking frogs, laughing hyenas or roaring lions. Africa is special and this are our alarm calls in the wild. The wildlife plains boasts of a large variety of wildlife species . Each species have unique calls and this calls will be heard all across the plains at different times. Say good bye to your normal alarm clock sounds and enjoy the sounds of the African lights.

Game drives and spectacular wildlife.

The most common tourism activities in kenya and Tanzania is a safari in the wild. This is when you are driven in the parks by your safari guide in search of wildlife.  Game drives are scheduled in the early morning and in the afternoon when the animals are most active.  Temperatures in the wild savannah are mostly high during the day and at this time animals lay in the shade to conserve energy. The game drives happen in the national park and in the conservancies as well.
Experienced safari or driver guides make your game drives extra special by giving you more information about the animals while on this drives. wildlife encountered may include the big five- lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino, a large variety of herbivores including wildebeests zebras, impalas, buffalos and more not forgetting a variety of colorful bird species that add to the beauty and biodiversity of this region.

Early starts and long drives.

We sincerely appreciate that you have come for a kenya and Tanzania Safari holiday. However you will at times be required to wake up very early in order to achieve what you came do. Experience the African wildlife at its best. Animals are most active in the cools hours of the day. this are early morning and late afternoon. If you are in search of a hunt, best chances are in the very early morning before the cats go to take their long naps which in mosts cases last an entire day. The wildlife areas and conservancies are quite vast and some of the drives may seem long and exhausting but this is because we have speed limits in the parks. The guides and safari directors will guide you on the same so that you make most of your time and have aa memorable safari to Africa.

Surprising animal behaviors.

East Africa is the home to safari and wildlife. When we go on this game drives we are the invaders of this animals home. During game drives it is possible to see animal behaviour that may not be common. On occasions, cats especially cheetah and lions will come extremely close to the vehicles. this may be frightening but it is good to keep your clam. Your guide is a professional and will surely guide you at such times. Usually animals with young tend to be over protective of their little ones and they may seem aggressive. Expect the unexpected, this is the home to wild animals .

Special nature moments.

It is common to wildlife in their natural habitat but it is not common to see them at their most vulnerable moments. This moments can therefore be classifies as special. A giraffe is regarded as the tallest animal in the plains. A giraffe giving birth is a special moment. The death of an elephant and its “burial ” by the family members is rare. such moments happen and you may be lucky to spot this. Carry with you a bunch of memory cards, you never know when you will need them.  An Africa safari is always a rewarding experience.

Changing weather patterns.

Usually tis part of Africa is hot and especially during the day. Coll weather is experienced in the very early mornings and early evening. However due to the changing climatic conditions its is now hard to tell how the weather will be. At times we may experience an unexpected weather  pattern . You may drive out for a a safari when it is sunny and come back to camp during a very heavy downpour. You safari guide will be in place to advise you on the same.

The spirit of adventure.

The safari guides try as much as possible to stick to the gamed rives schedule. However at times , you may be forced to derail from the same due to some adventure or bush incidents. at times you may encounter herds of large elephant herds. This animals are calm but very curious. Lions too are social and may be seen in unexpected large groups. this animals sometimes decide to block the roads and here you experience a ‘bush traffic jam’. Due to the rough roads you may experience punctures and the drivers have to change tyres. Getting stuck in mud too is common during the rainy season and with an adventure spirit you will enjoy the moments that come up at such times. The drives are long and bumpy and here you experience the african back massage.

Minimal Internet coverage.

The lodges and camps have tried as much as possible to have internet at their premises. It is an expensive affair and therefore is limited to certain areas of the camps. In most the this facilities, it is found in the common areas which include the mess, dining area , bar or around the pool areas. During the rainy weather, internet may be limited and may not work at times. This camps and lodges are found in remote areas and away from civilization. You will be advised accordingly at the camps and lodges.

Unique accommodations.

The safari destinations in kenya and Tanzania hosts a variety of clientele people from all walks of life come to Africa to experience the biodiversity of this continent. in this regard we have all kinds of accommodations in tis areas. From the very simplest of tents to the high and exclusive luxurious lodges. Depending on a clients budget, they will be able to choose which kind of accommodation suites them best. The lodges are within and outside the parks and mostly camouflaged in the environment .

Diverse landscape and physical features.

Africa is the home of biodiversity. From mountains, lakes, rivers, swamps, , plains, plateaus and outgrowing rock kopjes , you will experience almost all . These diverse landscapes attract different animals species. A good example is the outgrowing kopjes where you may see lion families and their cubs or the elusive leopards. The plains are home to cheetah and herbivores. The shrubs and riverine areas are home to the leopard and lions. Dormant mountains and hilly escarpment offer spectacular panoramic vies of the plains below. Africa is beautiful and so it’s diversity.
