A feast for the senses and a true celebration of Kenya’s diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes
This 7-day Kenya safari combines three of the country’s most iconic wildlife regions into one continuous journey. It begins beneath Mount Kilimanjaro in Amboseli National Park, home to some of Africa’s largest surviving elephant herds, before heading to Lake Nakuru National Park — a rhino sanctuary and one of East Africa’s great flamingo-lined soda lakes. The safari ends with three nights in the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most celebrated big-cat and wildlife destination, where, during the migration season (typically July–October), the plains fill with wildebeest and zebra moving between the Mara and the Serengeti.
Built for travellers who want a well-paced introduction to Kenya’s classic safari circuit — big landscapes, big wildlife, and enough time in each park to actually settle in — this itinerary balances open-vehicle game drives with rest and can be tailored in pace, lodge category, or season to suit how you want to travel.
Three parks, three very different faces of Kenya
Amboseli holds some of Africa's largest and best-studied elephant families, often seen against Kilimanjaro's backdrop.
Lake Nakuru National Park is fenced specifically to protect both black and white rhino — a rare chance to see both in one park.
Kenya's most famous reserve for lion, leopard and cheetah sightings, with the seasonal wildebeest migration as a bonus.
One flowing route from Kilimanjaro's foothills to the Rift Valley to the Mara — no backtracking, no wasted driving days.
A starting shape: pace, order and length of each stage are all adjustable.
After breakfast, transfer to the domestic airport for a short flight to Amboseli. On arrival, transfer to your lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive across Amboseli's open plains — home to some of Kenya's largest elephant herds and, on a clear day, sweeping views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight.
Tawi Lodge · A lodge on the plains of Amboseli, in view of Kilimanjaro
A full day exploring Amboseli's swamps and plains by game drive, with a strong chance of elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, and cheetah sightings, plus excellent birdwatching. Weather permitting, Kilimanjaro is at its clearest in early morning light. Dinner and overnight.
Tawi Lodge · Same as previous night
Depart after breakfast for Lake Nakuru, stopping at Lake Naivasha for lunch, with an optional boat ride or guided walk among giraffe and zebra at a nearby sanctuary. Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive — a fenced sanctuary for both black and white rhino, and home to flocks of flamingo along the lake shore, plus buffalo, hippo, lion, and leopard. Dinner and overnight.
Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge · A lodge overlooking Lake Nakuru's shoreline
Morning transfer to the Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive as the plains come alive with the day's cooling temperatures — prime time for spotting the Mara's resident big cats. Dinner and overnight
Enkakenya Camp · A tented camp on the Mara plains
Two full days of game drives across the Mara's savannah, tracking lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and buffalo, alongside herds of topi, hartebeest, eland and gazelle. During the migration season (typically July–October), this is also prime territory for the river crossings. Optional add-ons include a sunrise hot air balloon safari, guided nature walks, and visits to a nearby Maasai community. Dinner and overnight both nights.
Enkakenya Camp · Same as the night before
An early morning game drive before returning to camp for breakfast. Check out in time for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi, where the safari ends — connect onward to your international flight or extend your trip.

Kenya’s parks are rewarding year-round, but for the wildebeest migration in the Maasai Mara, July through October is the strongest window. The dry seasons (June–October and January–February) generally offer the easiest wildlife viewing.
Most visitors need a Kenya eTA (electronic travel authorisation), arranged online in advance. Requirements vary by nationality, so check the current rules for your passport before booking.
